The department “Southern Azerbaijani folklore” of Institute of Folklore ANAS during the 5 years of its establishment continues to make its worthy contribution to Azerbaijani folklore studies. It is estimable that during this period, the department employees have done very well in terms of research, collected rich folklore samples of Southern Azerbaijan and transferred them to the literature, as well as by transliterating the obtained print materials (Persian alphabet) and handed over this rich treasure of spirituality to the scientific community and readers.
The book “Southern Azerbaijani folklore examples. Volume 8” (Baku, Elm ve tehsil, 2019, 408 pages) is also of great importance in this regard.
