The employees of the Institute of Folklore took part at the 2nd International Symposium of Training of Turkish Language and Literatures
On the 16-18th April in 2017 the 2nd International Symposium of Training of Turkish Language and Literatures dedicated to the memory of Fuad Koprulu with the organizational activities of Gazi University in Ankara. About 130 investigators joined the symposium from different countries such as Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kirgizstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Afghanistan, Iran, Poland, Yemen, West Trakya and Turkey.
This educational centre beginning its activity in 1926 as the name “Gazi Orta Muellim Mektebi” later was named as “Ankara Orgetmen Okulu”, “Gazi Terbiye Enstitusu”, “Gazi Egitim Enstitusu” and at last from 1982 it was called as Gazi University. The international relations of the institute are growing day by day. The place of Azerbaijan is special among these relations.
The symposium was organized according to the order of UNESCO “Professor Fuad Koprulu’s year”. The reports about Fuad Koprulu by Azerbaijan scientists were accepted very interestingly. At the symposium the articles by employees of the Institute of Folklore Ph.D. Aynur Jalilova (“The look at the language and folklore of Albans from Azerbaijan”) and Ali Shamil (“A debate about the work “Sobetul asmar” by Fuzili between Fuad Koprulu and his student Emin Abid”) were listened at.
