Our scientific workers took part in the International Symposium “Turkey-Georgia Bektashi Culture and Ozans”

    On the 30 th – 31 st of May, 2016 the International Symposium “Turkey-Georgia Bektashi Culture and Ozans” dedicated to the 100 th jubilee of Ashug Huseyn Sarajli with the organizational activities of Turkey Cooperate and Coordination Agency, Haji Bektash Veli Culture Circle and Ukraine-Georgia International University was held in Tbilisi city in Georgia. The representatives from the different countries such as Azerbaijan , Turkey , Persia , Georgia , Republics of Dagestan, Kabartay-Balkar, Garachay-Charkaz of Russian Federation took part in the symposium. The scientific workers of the Institute of Folklore had reports such as Prof. Mahmud Allahmanli “The text information and poetic system of the introduction in the epos “The Book of Dede Gorgud”, Ph.D. Elkhan Memmedli “Ashug Khindi Mammad's poetical activity (1896-1968)”, Ph.D. Giymat Mammadli “Ashig Sakit Kochari”, Ph.D., assistant professor Sonmaz Abbasli “Prof. Israfil Abbasli's role in the investigation of Turkic folklore examples written with the Armenian alphabet”, Afiz Karimov from the University of Azerbaijan State Art and Culture “Music in Sufism: Some investigations about the tunes “Urfani””. The last day of the symposium the representatives visited the village where Ashug Huseyn Sarajli was born, took part in the ceremonial meeting and went to the places of interest of the region.
