The next meeting of the Scientific Council was held
at the Institute of Folklore
On the 26th of September the next meeting of the Scientific Council of the Institute of Folklore ANAS was held. The first issue on the agenda of the meeting was related to the Memorial Day of the Martyrs of the Patriotic War of September 27. First, the memory of the martyrs was commemorated with a minute of silence. Then General Director of the Institute academician Mukhtar Kazimoglu-Imanov made an opening speech. The academician said that on the 27th of September in 2020 we started the Patriotic War against the military aggression of Armenia, which ended with the victory of Azerbaijan. “This Memorial Day has two meanings: we commemorate our martyrs and at the same time we return to those historical days again”. Continuing his thoughts the academician said that it was not an easy victory for the Azerbaijani people. Touching upon the events of recent days, the General Director noted that the struggle continues more sharply today.
The members of the Scientific Council such as PhD, associate professor Ilhama Gasabova, Professor Fuzuli Bayat, Professor Seyfaddin Rzasoy, Professor Ramadzan Gafarli also made reports.
The second issue on the agenda was the results of the competition for the vacant positions of chief, leading and senior researchers at the Institute of Folklore ANAS. The scientific secretary of the Institute PhD, associate professor Elchin Abbasov gave information about it.
