Turkish scientists visited the Institute of Folklore

On the 13th of June in 2022 Associate Professor Pinar Fedekar from Ege University Institute of Turkish World Studies and the employee of the Turkish Music Conservatory of the same university Ali Hikmet Gokchen visited the Institute of Folklore ANAS. Turkish guests noted that they were conducting research on Borchali ashiq tradition during the meeting and noted that the main purpose of their visit was to get acquainted with the work done in Azerbaijan in connection with this environment.
Academician Mukhtar Kazimoglu-Imanov mentioned about the department of Ashiq creativity at the Institute and cooperation with this department would benefit the guests. During the meeting, which was held on the basis of mutual exchange of views, interesting ideas were expressed regarding the past, present and future state of ashiq art. At the end the guests were presented discs released by the Institute on eposes and photos were taken. In the meeting the head of the department of Modern folklore of the Institute, Professor Fuzuli Bayat, the head of the department of Mythology, Professor Seyfaddin Rzasoy, PhD., associate professor Ilhame Gasabova, Phd., associate professor Sonmaz Abbasli also participated.
