On the 1st of March 2022, the senior scientific worker of the Department of Dede Gorgud of the Institute of Folklore ANAS Khalida Mammadova spoke about “Od Chershenbe”-“Fire Tuesday” in the program “Jan, Azerbaijan!”. The researcher spoke about the interesting moments of Fire Tuesday. It was said that on this Tuesday, as on other pre-Tuesdays the rituals associated with fire and the burning of bonfires are associated with the sacred nature of wood. It turns out that the beliefs about the Fire, symbolized as the symbol of the Sun on earth, live the mythical thinking of the Azerbaijani Turks.
