The scientific session was held
On the 14th of January in 2022 at the Institute of Folklore of ANAS was held a scientific session on the “Scientist who devoted his life to the awakening of national memory” dedicated to the life and creativity of Professor Jalal Gasimov. Opening the session, General Director of the Institute, academician Mukhtar Kazimoglu-Imanov said that the session was devoted to the life and work of famous scientist, wonderful person, professor Jalal Gasimov. During his speech, the scientist noted that, in all stages of his life, regardless of where he worked and on what fronts he worked, the awakening of our national memory, the struggle for our growth, life and activity in the national spirit as a young generation. At the end of his academic speech, he said that J.Gasimov has published more than 30 books on various fields of Azerbaijani literature, folklore and socio-political and spiritual history of Azerbaijan.
After the introductory speech of the academician the speech was given to the speakers. Some scientists made reports such as “Patriot of Azerbaijan folklore-study” by Professor Seyfaddin Rzasoy, “Jalal Gasimov: a great man, a true intellectual, a patriot of literature and science” by Doctor of Sciences in Philology Ramazan Gafarli, “The last giant of the Azerbaijani repression studies” by PhD, associate professor Tahir Orujov. The scientific session participants such as Doctor of Sciences in Philology Leyla Mammadova, PhD Sevinj Aliyeva, PhD, associate professor Ilhama Gasabova saying good words about the scientist shared their memories about him.
